Sol
A Tri-culture artist, Sol was encouraged to start drawing at the age of 8 by his mother as a way to find a hobby and build his self-esteem. Sol is on the autism spectrum; integration with society's norms, ability to express himself verbally, and find areas of focus can sometimes be a challenge for him.
However, from an early age, he showed a high aptitude for advanced pattern recognition. He saw, his mind captured it like a photograph, and he massaged it into a world of his making.

Sol is a self-taught artist. He quickly displayed a unique “2D bird’s-eye” style. But it was not until the age of 10 when he found the right tools to express his imagination: a fountain pen and preferred colour markers.
Time went on, drawings became more detailed, and continued to be almost exclusively 2D landscapes, houses and rooms. Each piece has a story of a person or place, their life details captured in his mind.
Then one day, in 2017 a relative suggested, "What happens when you fold his art like a shoebox?" The epiphany light went on: he had been drawing all of this as 3D! His art comes to life when it’s folded like a box. That is "SolOgraphie".
